Can I use it as backup internet?

Yes. A suitable LTE/5G connection can provide backup when your primary service fails. Automatic switching requires an appropriately configured MikroTik router supplied by us, or other equipment that supports failover. If your router does not support failover, manual switching may be possible by reconnecting the internet cable, as agreed in your installation quote. Switching may interrupt active calls or sessions. Backup availability depends on cellular coverage and network conditions.

Will my connection switch automatically if my main internet fails?

Automatic failover is available when your router supports it and is configured for both connections. We can provide an appropriately configured MikroTik router where specified in your quote, or assess whether your existing equipment is suitable. If your router does not support failover, manual switching may be possible by reconnecting the internet cable. Switching may interrupt active calls or sessions. We agree on the switching method and test the configured setup before handover.

Can backup internet support my home office or business?

A suitable LTE/5G backup connection can help you continue essential activities such as email, video calls, payment processing, and access to cloud services when your main connection is unavailable. We review your usage, application requirements, and available cellular service before recommending a setup. Performance and compatibility depend on the connection, carrier plan, and applications you use. A backup connection does not guarantee uninterrupted operation.

Can you provide primary internet at a remote business location?

Yes, where suitable coverage is available. We assess your site and connectivity needs before recommending equipment and a carrier plan. Plans may have monthly data limits, reduced speeds after heavy usage, and streaming restrictions. We explain these conditions before you choose. Installation availability and performance depend on your location.

Are carrier plans included, and how much does it cost?

No. You pay the cellular carrier directly for your monthly data plan. During your location review, we assess compatible carrier options and recommend the most cost-effective data plans for your household or business needs. Monthly costs depend on the carrier and selected plan, including data allowances, prioritization, video restrictions, and contract terms. Equipment and installation are priced separately—see “How much does an SXTR Connect solution cost?” below.

How much does an SXTR Connect solution cost?

A remote pre-assessment is always free. Most installations total approximately $500–$1,250, including installation labor, LTE/5G equipment, and standard materials. An on-site assessment is typically $50–$100, depending on travel distance. Masts, poles, or other special materials may increase the cost. Customers may use their own Wi-Fi router, or we can provide one starting at $50. Carrier service plans are billed separately. You’ll receive a clear quote before any work begins.

What does installation involve?

We assess the available signal, agree on a suitable mounting position, install and align the outdoor equipment, route cabling, and configure the equipment we supply. For backup installations, your quote confirms whether automatic failover or manual switching is included and which router will be used. We test the installed connection and any configured failover before handover. If you use your own router, compatibility and connection requirements are agreed in advance. Customers remain responsible for configuring and managing their own devices, applications, and BYOD equipment.

What support is included after installation?

Your installation includes 30 days of support, starting when installation is completed, for issues related to the equipment we supply and our installation and configuration. We investigate reported problems and correct installation-related faults. Optional paid managed-connectivity plans provide broader, ongoing support as defined in your quote or support agreement. These plans may include connection and device monitoring, service alerts, remote troubleshooting, configuration assistance, and performance follow-up. Support-plan charges are separate from your carrier subscription, and pricing is confirmed before activation. Customers remain responsible for their own devices and BYOD equipment. Carrier availability, speeds, and plan restrictions remain outside our control.
