Installation: Temporary Site Internet
Remote Residential Construction Connectivity
Outdoor 5G connectivity for a remote residential build, delivering 420–480 Mbps download and 60–90 Mbps upload during onsite testing.
The Challenge
A residential construction site located in a remote area faced weak, unreliable cellular coverage, making it difficult for project managers and contractors to stay connected.
The Installed Solution
Installed and optimized an outdoor directional cellular setup tailored to the available towers, terrain, and carrier bands in the rural sector.
The Outcome
Delivered stable speeds of 420–480 Mbps download and 60–90 Mbps upload across the site, enabling field teams to communicate seamlessly.
Equipment Details
High-performance outdoor antenna configuration utilizing a 5G-RGM-O antenna with an integrated Quectel RM520N-GL modem and paired with a MikroTik router. System includes heavy-duty temporary/permanent mounting hardware, weather-resistant low-loss cabling, and power delivery hardware as specified in the site quote.
Performance Notes
Reported performance during onsite testing ranged from 420–480 Mbps download and 60–90 Mbps upload, allowing simultaneous video calls and large blueprint downloads without network bottlenecks. Final network performance reflects conditions during commissioning and may fluctuate depending on carrier tower load, local terrain blocks, and active service-plan thresholds.
Customer Feedback
Managing a build out in a remote area without cellular service was a massive hurdle for syncing project files and joining remote meetings. This outdoor solution completely transformed our workflow—everything runs smoothly now, even with the whole team online at once.
